The Bean Machine Gridlock Girdle for Cummins Common Rail engines was created with one goal in mind: solve the issues found in other girdles while offering unbeatable strength, clean fitment, and weight savings — without any unnecessary components or install headaches.

Where other girdles fall short — requiring oil pan modifications, using weak spacers prone to cracking, or causing clearance issues — our girdle delivers uncompromising performance without compromise.


 Reinforced Where It Matters

Our system strengthens your engine’s bottom end by locking the main caps in place with precision dowel pins and connecting every available bolt point all the way to the outer edges of the block. To further enhance rigidity, preload set screws apply clamping force over each main cap, minimizing the risk of cap flex or deformation under extreme load — ideal for high-horsepower builds.


 Why Aluminum Instead of Steel?

We started by building this girdle from tool steel — and quickly realized the tradeoffs weren’t worth it. Sure, tool steel offers higher tensile strength, but it’s heavy, hard to machine, and adds bulk with very little added benefit.

So we rethought the problem. Why not use aluminum?

Our Gridlock Girdle is over twice as thick as many of the leading competitors' steel girdles — giving it superior tensile strength, reduced weight, and easier handling during installation. Press-fit steel inserts at each main stud prevent nut compression into the aluminum and offer built-in dowel alignment, locking everything in place with precision. To top it off, we O-ringed the girdle for a factory-tight seal against the block.
