EGR and DPF
What is a DPF Delete?
A diesel particulate filter (or DPF) is a device designed to remove diesel particulate matter or soot from the exhaust gas of a diesel engine. These filters fill up with soot matter from driving, the trucks engine computer is designed to place the engine in "Regeneration Mode". This idles up the engine and injects fuel directly into the DPF to burn the soot matter out.
What do I NEED?
1. Exhaust - A full exhaust or a delete pipe will be needed to successfully remove the DPF Filter from your factory exhaust. A delete pipe will function the same to remove the DPF, but you will not get the same "free flowing" effect of a full exhaust kit. We recommend our customers to purchase a full exhaust to make the process flow smoother when replacing the DPF on your truck.
2. Tuner - Not all tuners will allow you to remove the DPF from your exhaust. Please shop under the categories of "DPF Delete" for the appropriate tuner for your make and model truck.
